Karloman Villota was born in Mira, province of Carchi - Ecuador in 1970. He studied at the "Daniel Reyes" Institute of Plastic Arts in San Antonio de Ibarra. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the Central University of Ecuador.

Since 1987 he has held exhibitions of his work. From 1991 to 1993 he worked as an illustrator in the newspaper "Hoy". He was a professor of Drawing at the Central University from 1993 to 1996. The folder “Villota, Karloman” contains a 1997 catalog about an exhibition at the Alianza Francesa in Quito.

The Caspicara magazine from 1997 stands out, in which there is a critique of the work of Manuel Esteban Mejía. There are also resumes, copies of press clippings and copies of the artist's diplomas.
