Trained as an art director straight out of UNC's Journalism School, he has traveled down a number of creative paths before deciding to start a brand of his own.

After a number of years in advertising, children's book illustration, editorial cartooning and animation character design, Trip has turned his most recent span of whimsically painted subjects into Ringneck & Lure's sporting line of neckties and pocket squares.

His art goes from elephants to game birds, fly lures to lobster buoys, all of these bright and vibrant designs.
